The Formula 1 team Haas has announced the dismissal of team principal Guenther Steiner after 10 years of service.

In 2023, Haas dropped to P10, securing the last place in the Constructors' Championship. Consequently, in 2024, they deemed changes necessary and decided to alter the team's leadership. Shortly after announcing the departure of technical director Simone Resta, they declared that team principal Steiner has also left the team.

Since 2014, Steiner had served as the team principal of Haas, becoming one of the most recognizable figures in Formula 1 due to his outspoken and intriguing personality. However, the new team principal is now Japanese expert Aya Komatsu, who previously held the position of engineering director.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to lead Haas F1 Team. I am invested in its success, having been with the team since its debut in 2016. I look forward to leading our program and ensuring that we can build a structure that delivers the best results," stated the Japanese specialist.

As a reminder, Dailysports has prepared a list of all participants in F1 approved to compete in the 2024 season.
