The South African women's national football team, Banyana Banyana, have resumed training in Morocco after a brief boycott over unpaid wages.
According to Africanfootball, citing a source close to the team, the players returned to the pitch this afternoon, June 28, following a meeting with South African Football Association (SAFA) president Danny Jordaan. The protest began the previous day, Friday, when the players refused to train, demanding payment for April camps, which had still not been settled.
The team will now continue its preparations in Casablanca, before heading to Oujda, where the group stage matches of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations will take place. South Africa will face Ghana, Tanzania, and Mali.
