Revenge for 2018. Spain crowned eight-time European futsal champions
On February 7 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the UEFA Futsal Euro final unfolded. The decisive match saw the national teams of Portugal and Spain face off for continental glory.
By the seventh minute of the first half, both sides had already found the back of the net twice, and the teams headed into halftime with Spain holding a slim advantage. Portugal drew level midway through the second half, but then Spain's talisman Antonio Pérez stepped up, netting a hat-trick to restore his side's lead. Adolfo put the finishing touch on the game just seconds before the final buzzer—Spain clinched a 5-3 victory.

It’s worth noting that these teams met in the Euro 2018 final, where Portugal celebrated victory, repeating their triumph in 2022. Spain, however, have now claimed their first European Championship title since 2016 and, with eight trophies, remain the most decorated futsal team on the continent.
Earlier in the day, Croatia edged out France in a dramatic penalty shootout to secure third place and win their first-ever medals at a continental championship.
