Edin Džeko spent several months at Fiorentina, having previously played in Turkey, but he has now decided to return to a country where he featured many years ago.
Details: Insider Florian Plettenberg has reported that the Bosnian striker will sign a contract with Schalke. A verbal agreement between the player and the German club is already in place. Schalke have also managed to reach an agreement with Fiorentina.
Edin Džeko has made 18 appearances for Fiorentina this season. During that spell, he scored two goals, though none of them came in Serie A.
Džeko’s contract with Fiorentina runs until the summer of 2026, while his transfer value, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at €1.5 million.
Reminder: 29-year-old winger Jack Harrison, previously owned by Manchester City, will spend the next six months on loan at the Serie A club.
