Returned to his father's homeland. Zidane's son officially changes club

Elyaz Zidane, son of legendary French footballer and coach Zinedine Zidane, will continue his career in French football. The 20-year-old centre-back has officially signed a contract with Red Star, who will compete in Ligue 2 this coming season.

This move marks Elyaz's first experience playing for a senior French club. Previously, the defender spent over a decade in Spain, coming up through the Real Madrid academy before representing Real Betis B, the reserve side competing in Spain's third division.

Elyaz is now the second son of Zinedine Zidane to try his hand in French football. Earlier, his older brother Enzo Zidane played for Rodez.
