Return to Germany: Karius signs with Schalke

Former Liverpool and Newcastle goalkeeper Loris Karius has returned to Germany in an attempt to revive his career.

Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, Karius has already passed his medical and signed a contract with Schalke until the end of the season.

Schalke faced a goalkeeper crisis this season due to injuries to Ralf Fährmann and Michael Langer, and Karius is expected to address this issue.

Schalke currently plays in the 2. Bundesliga, sitting in 13th place with 20 points after 17 matches.

Karius's last club was Newcastle, where he served only as the third-choice goalkeeper.
