Results from the first leg of the third round of the African qualifiers for the U17 Women’s World Cup
Four matches were played
Nigeria, Zambia and Kenya all secured victories over their respective opponents.
The African qualifiers for the U17 Women’s World Cup continue with the third and final round. The first legs of this phase were played this weekend.
Nigeria, who faced Benin, came out on top. The Nigerian U17s beat Benin 3–2. Meanwhile, Zambia got the better of Ethiopia 2–1. South Africa lost 2–0 to Kenya, whilst Senegal and Ghana drew 1–1.
The second legs of the third and final round will be played on 11 and 12 July.
