Renato Veiga to return to Chelsea after Juventus loan

Portuguese defender Renato Veiga, currently on loan at Juventus, will return to Chelsea at the end of the season and will be available for the Club World Cup in the summer of 2025.

According to La Stampa, Chelsea and Juventus have not discussed a potential permanent move for the player to Turin. Veiga joined Juventus in January on a loan deal without a purchase option, meaning the Turin club cannot secure his transfer on a permanent basis.

Veiga anticipates regular playing time in the final part of the season, especially due to the injuries of defenders Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, and Federico Gatti. However, these players are expected to recover in time for the Club World Cup, allowing Veiga to return to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old defender will start in Juventus' lineup for the crucial Serie A match against Roma, taking place tonight. This season, Veiga has played seven matches for Juventus across all competitions.
