Reliability! Senegal national team hides AFCON trophy at military base under armed guard to avoid handing it over to Morocco
The controversy surrounding Senegal's technical defeat in the AFCON final is escalating with each passing day.
Details: According to Topskills UK Sports, Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw brought the Africa Cup of Nations trophy to one of the country's military bases, allowing soldiers to take photos with the trophy and even touch it themselves.

According to sources, the AFCON trophy will now remain at the military base under the protection of armed guards. This move is likely a response to fears that the trophy could actually be handed over to Morocco after CAF decided to award Senegal a technical defeat in the AFCON final and declared Morocco the champions.
At the moment, the African football world is holding its breath as the Court of Arbitration for Sport considers Senegal's appeal.
If the final verdict from the Court of Arbitration for Sport also favors Morocco, Senegal will ultimately have to bid farewell to the trophy and hand it over to the Moroccan side.
