Relebohile Mofokeng's Stunning Goal Secures Victory for Orlando Pirates
Orlando Pirates’ 20-year-old star, Relebohile Mofokeng, ended 2024 on a high note by scoring a brilliant goal to give the Buccaneers a 1-0 win over Magesi FC in Polokwane. Mofokeng’s first-half strike was the highlight of the match, and his overall performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
The young striker, nicknamed "President Yama 2000," said his success is thanks to coach Jose Riveiro’s style, which lets him play freely while helping him get better. “I practiced that goal in training, and I’m happy it worked,” Mofokeng shared after the game.
Mofokeng has been a vital member of the Pirates this season, tallying five goals and nine assists. With reports that FC Barcelona's B club is interested, he appears to have a bright future. Now, the Pirates are concentrating on their next matchup with Stade d'Abidjan in the CAF Champions League, aiming for another victory to increase their chances of making it to the knockout stage.
