Coventry are gearing up for their Premier League debut and have already made a move on the transfer market. The English club is targeting Juventus striker Lois Openda and has reached out to the player to clarify his situation in Turin.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Coventry have a chance to secure the transfer on a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy. Head coach Frank Lampard rates the forward highly and is keen to bring him on board.
Reports indicate that the 26-year-old Belgian could leave the Italian powerhouse this summer after a disappointing season. Openda made 34 appearances for Juventus across all competitions but found the back of the net just twice, which has significantly lowered his market value and standing within the squad.
