Reformed: Wojciech Szczesny's son turns from Real Madrid fan to Barcelona supporter
The son of Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, Liam, seems to be increasingly cheering for the Catalan club, despite previously being a fan of Real Madrid. Wojciech shared this in an interview with club media.
Szczesny noted that much has changed since Liam met the Barcelona players. He took a photo with them, and now he is starting to become a fan of the team. The boy celebrates the Catalans' victories and goes out with friends wearing Barcelona gear.
"I'll be honest. Before coming here, he supported Real Madrid. He collects cards, and he used to be very happy playing Cristiano Ronaldo or Kylian Mbappe. Now he's much happier playing with Lamine Yamal or Raphinha," Szczesny stated.
Let's recall that the Polish goalkeeper unexpectedly resumed his career in October 2024 after retiring from football earlier that summer. Szczesny accepted Barcelona's offer, which was in dire need of a goalkeeper following a serious injury to their main keeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Since then, the Pole has played 13 matches for Barcelona, conceding 13 goals.
