Red Bull team principal Christian Horner receives Order from King Charles
Formula 1 Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has been honored with the prestigious Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), awarded by King Charles, reports The Sun. The accolade recognizes his exceptional contributions to motorsport.
Horner was accompanied at the Buckingham Palace ceremony by his wife, Geri Halliwell, the former Spice Girls member. The couple, married since 2015, has a son born in January 2017.
Earlier this month, the duo also attended the FIA Awards ceremony held in Kigali, Rwanda.
Horner has endured a challenging year, including allegations of sending inappropriate text messages to a team staff member. These accusations threatened his position at Red Bull and strained his relationship with his wife.
After months of internal investigations, Horner was cleared in February 2024, and an appeal by the accuser was dismissed in August. This allowed Horner to continue his leadership role at Red Bull, a position he has held since 2005.
