The Globe Soccer Awards ceremony wrapped up the results of 2025. Alongside football stars, legendary tennis player Novak Djokovic was also honored with a special award.
The Serbian ace received the Globe Sports Award, with the prestigious trophy presented to him personally by Cristiano Ronaldo—a highlight moment of the evening. The two sporting icons then exchanged warm compliments on stage.
This is a surprise. Receiving an award from another sports legend like Cristiano is a dream come true. I'm a huge football fan, and I came here to celebrate an incredible year that all the football stars present here are marking, said Djokovic.
In response, Ronaldo expressed his admiration, calling the Serbian not just his own example, but a role model for an entire generation.
For me, Novak Djokovic is an EXAMPLE! For me, he is a model of longevity, and we have similar stories. He deserves this award because he sets an example for this generation and the next.
It’s worth noting that in 2025, Novak became only the third tennis player in history to surpass the 100-title mark, joining Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors in this elite club.
