The Senegalese Football Federation has announced that the situation regarding the Senegalese U20 international is positive.

Amadou Mboup suffered an injury on Friday 16 October during the match against Mauritania in the WAFU-A U20 tournament, currently taking place in Bamako, Mali.

However, the subsequent medical examinations are looking positive. “The follow-up scan carried out on Saturday shows that the findings from the previous day’s initial brain scan remain stable, and that his pain has subsided,” said the doctor for the Senegalese U20 team.

That said, the second scan revealed no deterioration compared to the first, and the pain Amadou Mboup was experiencing has also eased.

This is an encouraging sign for the young Senegalese international. As a precaution, however, Amadou Mboup remains under observation in Bamako.
