Jesus Gil Manzano, the referee of the controversial match between Real Madrid and Valencia, has been suspended from his duties indefinitely.

As reported by Archivo VAR, the Technical Committee of La Liga referees has already communicated its decision to Manzano. The referee has indicated his awareness of his mistake and is prepared to face the consequences.

It is worth recalling that in the dying seconds of the match, Brahim Diaz delivered a cross into the penalty area, and as the ball was in the air, Manzano blew the final whistle. Immediately after, Jude Bellingham scored a header goal, which should have secured a victory for Real Madrid.

Following the final whistle, Real Madrid players confronted the referee, and Bellingham received a red card, which the club plans to appeal.

Manzano is a FIFA-category referee, having officiated in World Cup and European Championship qualifiers, as well as matches in the Champions League and Europa League.
