Real Madrid's goalkeeper has started collaborating with Cristiano Ronaldo's former agent
Real Madrid's Ukrainian goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, has signed a contract with the agent Jorge Mendes, as reported by El Chiringuito TV.
According to sources, Lunin's contract with Real Madrid extends until 2025, not 2024, and the Ukrainian goalkeeper met with Mendes on November 22 at the airport. Jorge Mendes, 57, is the former agent of Cristiano Ronaldo. Among his clients are coach Jose Mourinho, David de Gea, Diego Costa, James Rodriguez, Joao Felix, and others.
Before the start of the 2020/21 season, it was announced that the Ukrainian goalkeeper would remain with Real Madrid. Starting from this season, he took the number 13 shirt in the team, which was previously worn by Thibaut Courtois (who took the number 1), and became the second-choice goalkeeper, consistently being on the bench in almost every "Blancos" match.
In January 2021, Lunin made his debut for the first team in an official match, playing in the Round of 32 of the Copa del Rey against lower-division Alcoyano. However, his team suffered a surprising defeat with a score of 1-2 and was eliminated from the tournament. This match remained the only one for the goalkeeper that season.
