Real Madrid remain deeply concerned about the Negreira case, which rocked Spanish and world football when it first came to light, and the club are now considering a radical course of action.

Details: According to José Félix Díaz, Los Blancos are weighing up submitting a petition to UEFA in an attempt to have Barcelona stripped of every title the Catalan club won during the period in which payments were allegedly made to José María Enríquez Negreira.

In 2023, it emerged that Barcelona paid between €7.3 million and €8.4 million to companies owned by José María Enríquez Negreira and his son between 2001 and 2018.

Negreira told tax inspectors that Barcelona had paid him for consultancy services, specifically for technical reports on referees. According to him, the club wanted to ensure that "decisions would not go against them" and that "everything would remain neutral."

Barcelona president Joan Laporta firmly denied any attempt to influence referees, insisting that the club "never sought to obtain favourable treatment or any kind of competitive advantage."

Reminder: Bayern Munich star Michael Olise enjoyed a phenomenal season, and the French winger has now emerged as Real Madrid's top transfer target, with the Spanish giants reportedly prepared to spend a staggering fee to secure his signature.
