After nine years on Real Madrid's bench, Lucas Vázquez has finally become more or less a core player for the club this season, getting regular game time. This is how he wants to continue to be.

His contract expires in 2024 and the club are willing to extend the partnership for another year, and according to Matteo Moretto, the 32-year-old right-back is only willing to accept Real's offer if he continues to get game time.

This season, Carlo Ancelotti has used Vazquez not only in his natural position of right-back, but in some matches he has also utilised him on the same flank but as a winger.

Spending 1,266 minutes on the pitch in 28 of Real's matches in the current campaign, the 32-year-old has scored one goal and provided four assists. Transfermarkt values Vazquez at five million euros.
