Real Madrid will attempt to negotiate a new contract with Vinícius Júnior next summer. At the end of the season, the forward will enter the final two years of his contract with the Madrid club. The club is concerned about interest from Saudi Arabian teams.
Details. According to AS, Real Madrid wants to extend Vinícius' contract, and the player himself aims to become the highest-paid footballer in the team. When Vinícius signed his contract, Toni Kroos and David Alaba were the highest-paid players at Madrid, earning just over 10 million euros a year. Since then, this status has shifted to Mbappé, who is believed to earn a net annual salary of around 15 million euros.
When Real and Vinícius sit down to negotiate the new contract, the player's bargaining position will be strengthened by the fact that, at least this season, he has been as important to the team as Mbappé.
Reminder. Vinícius Júnior is having another excellent season. This year, the Real player has scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists in 21 matches across all competitions.
