Real Madrid prioritizes Zubimendi for summer transfer, but it's a challenging move

Real Madrid is gearing up for the summer transfer window, with a keen focus on strengthening their midfield.

Details: According to Fichajes, Real Madrid has identified Real Sociedad's midfielder Martín Zubimendi as a priority for the summer transfer window.

The "Blancos" see Zubimendi as the ideal option to bolster their midfield for the long term. With the inevitable decline in influence of some veteran players in the coming years, the club believes the Spanish midfielder perfectly fits their project.

However, the transfer won't be easy, as his contract includes a buyout clause of 60 million euros, a sum the San Sebastián team is unwilling to lower.

Additionally, Arsenal is actively competing for Zubimendi. It was previously reported that the "Gunners" are the closest to signing the Spaniard.

Reminder: This season, the 26-year-old midfielder has played 38 matches for Sociedad across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
