Real Madrid move closer to signing Borussia Dortmund defender

Real Madrid are dealing with issues in central defence and are currently searching for a new player. It appears they may have found their target at Borussia Dortmund.

Details: According to Bild, Real Madrid have made progress in negotiations with Dortmund centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck. Borussia would only consider selling the player abroad and are demanding €50 million from any potential buyer.

In the current season, Nico Schlotterbeck has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund. The German defender has scored one goal and provided two assists.

We previously reported that Antonio Rüdiger is experiencing knee pain, with his participation in the Spanish Super Cup match against Atlético Madrid in doubt.

Furthermore, Éder Militão is also currently unavailable due to a hamstring injury. Now another centre-back is in doubt.

Reminder: 25-year-old Real Madrid and Brazil national team midfielder Vinícius Júnior has a real chance of joining London’s Chelsea during the current winter transfer window.
