Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane invests €5M in France’s first padel complex
Former Real Madrid star and coach Zinedine Zidane continues to explore new ventures outside of football. According to VSports Team, the French icon is set to invest €5 million in the construction of France’s first dedicated padel tennis complex.
The facility, named Z5—a tribute to the first letter of Zidane’s name and the iconic No. 5 jersey he wore at Real Madrid—will not only feature padel courts but also mini-football and beach soccer pitches. The complex is planned to be built in the Eastern Pyrenees.
Padel tennis has been growing in popularity among elite athletes, and Zidane himself enjoys playing the sport recreationally.
The Frenchman has not coached since 2021, when he left his managerial position at Real Madrid. During his tenure, he won two La Liga titles and made history by leading Los Blancos to three consecutive Champions League triumphs.
