Real Madrid is ready to invite Kepa back to the team if Lunin changes clubs this summer

Last season, following an injury to Real Madrid's main goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, the club loaned another goalkeeper. Alongside their reserve keeper Andriy Lunin, Kepa Arrizabalaga joined the team. At the start of the season, head coach Carlo Ancelotti rotated the goalkeepers to determine the strongest, with the Ukrainian securing the starting position. It was only towards the end of the season that Lunin yielded his spot to the primary goalkeeper of Real Madrid.
After Lunin's impressive performances, rumors about a potential transfer began to circulate. The Ukrainian's contract runs until 2025, and he has yet to reach a new agreement with the club.
As a result, Real Madrid has started searching for a replacement, with Kepa being their top priority, Football Espana reports. The Spaniard's loan to Los Blancos was for a year, and he has since returned to his home club.
Kepa is open to returning to Real Madrid and serving as the second goalkeeper behind Courtois. However, there is also interest from Al-Ittihad, and according to Marca, Kepa is still considering this offer.
If Kepa decides to move to the Middle East and Lunin finds a club where he can be the first-choice goalkeeper, Real Madrid will be in a difficult position. They will need to either utilize their current resources or urgently seek a new goalkeeper.
