Real Madrid is interested in acquiring the full-back of Bayern Munich
Real Madrid is considering the possibility of purchasing Bayern Munich's full-back Alphonso Davies, as reported by Bild.
According to sources, the "Galácticos" want to strengthen the left-back position as Fran García and Ferland Mendy have not convinced the club's leadership with their performances. Alphonso Davies' current contract is valid until 2025, and he is not inclined to sign a new agreement at the moment.
Because of this, Real Madrid aims to take advantage of the situation and attempt to sign Alphonso Davies. The club plans to offer 40 million euros for this transfer and is unwilling to pay more than 50 million. However, Bayern Munich is not eager to part with their full-back.
In July 2018, Davies completed his move to Bayern Munich, signing a contract until 2023. The Munich club paid 14 million euros for the 17-year-old player. The contract included bonuses of eight million euros if the player proved himself in the UEFA Champions League. Davies won this title with Bayern, so the transfer fee amounted to 22 million euros.
This season, Alphonso Davies has played 12 matches and provided three assists.
