Last week, reports emerged that Real Madrid is considering strengthening its defense in the January transfer window and has been monitoring Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

However, several voices within the club have also pointed out the need to sign a creative midfielder, especially after Real Madrid decided not to search for a replacement for Toni Kroos last summer.

Details: Real Madrid has increased its scouting of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz due to concerns about the team’s creativity following Kroos’ departure, according to ESPN.

At the same time, the "Royal Club" understands that a transfer in the winter window is unlikely, given the sum Bayer is reportedly seeking for their star. A move for Wirtz is more realistic in the summer.

Reminder: We recently reported that Bayer Leverkusen is demanding €150 million for their star, while Bayern Munich plans to offer €100 million plus bonuses for the player.
