Real Madrid is reportedly interested in reinforcing its squad before the opening of the winter transfer window. According to El Gol Digital, the Spanish club has expressed interest in Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons, currently playing for German side RB Leipzig.
Simons, who came through Barcelona's academy and is owned by Paris Saint-Germain, could be available for around €80 million. The 21-year-old has been on loan at Leipzig for the 2024/25 season, where he has made 11 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
While Simons has been contracted to PSG since 2019, he has only played 11 matches for the Parisians before being loaned out. His current loan at Leipzig is set to run until the end of this season.
