Real Madrid has set a new club record for defensive reliability.
According to OptaJose, the Whites have conceded only 16 goals in 26 La Liga matches this season. This stands as the best defensive record at this stage of the competition in the history of the Royal Club.
It is worth noting that the main goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has been sidelined for the entire season due to a serious injury. For a period, Kepa and Andriy Lunin competed for the goalkeeping position, but it is the Ukrainian who currently serves as Courtois's primary deputy.
Real Madrid confidently leads La Liga after 26 rounds. Carlo Ancelotti's team is ahead of Girona by six points. On March 2nd, the Whites will face Valencia in the championship.
