Real Madrid goalkeeper's future will be decided after the start of pre-season training
The likelihood of Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin leaving the club during this summer's transfer window is increasing.
According to The Athletic, Lunin will make a final decision about his future after July 15, when Real Madrid starts its pre-season training. The Ukrainian goalkeeper wants to speak with head coach Carlo Ancelotti regarding his prospects within the team.
Lunin aspires to be the first-choice goalkeeper for Real Madrid, but if there is no opportunity for that, he will seek a transfer to another club. He has already tasked his new agent, Jorge Mendes, with finding a new team.
Real Madrid would like to extend Lunin's contract until the summer of 2029, but the player has yet to provide a definitive answer to the club's offer.
It is known that if Lunin leaves, Real Madrid plans to bring back Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.
Last season, Lunin played 31 matches for Real, keeping 12 clean sheets.
