Real Madrid's coach, Carlo Ancelotti, surprised many with his choice of goalkeeper for the match against Real Betis on Saturday, as he had promised to reintroduce Kepa Arrizabalaga, who had recovered from injury, into the starting lineup.

In the end, Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin took his place between the posts, and his performance completely justified Ancelotti's decision.

Lunin had an outstanding game against Betis, making five saves. However, despite his efforts, it wasn't enough to keep a clean sheet, and the match between Real Madrid and Betis ended in a draw (1-1).

Despite Lunin's impressive performance, reports from Cope suggest that he won't retain his starting position in the next Real Madrid match. Kepa will return to the goal for the game against Union Berlin, granting Lunin some rest.

Andriy Lunin has featured in eight matches this season, six in the national championship and two in the Champions League, conceding five goals across all these games.

Meanwhile, his positional colleague has played thirteen matches, with ten in the league and three in the Champions League, conceding ten goals in the current season.
