Real Madrid are looking to pull off a high-profile transfer. Blancos targets on the Liverpool leader

Real Madrid has set its sights on Liverpool's star right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to German journalist Christian Falk.

It is noted that the player is interested in the move, with contact between the parties ongoing for a month now.

Alexander-Arnold's contract with Liverpool runs until 2025, with no extension currently planned or discussed.

Alexander-Arnold is a product of Liverpool's academy. He has been playing for the club's first team since 2016. Last season, the 25-year-old right-back scored 3 goals and provided 10 assists in 37 matches across all competitions.

It was previously reported that Liverpool is preparing for a major acquisition in the Bundesliga.

On a related note, this morning, star forward Kylian Mbappe arrived in Madrid, underwent a medical examination, and then headed to the club office for the contract signing ceremony.
