The broadcast rights deal between La Liga and CVC in 2021 became a contentious issue, and today there was a new twist in the saga.
Details: Today, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao officially won the court case against La Liga concerning the contract with CVC.
La Liga has already been informed of the court's decision and is now preparing an appeal.
Previously, La Liga received 2.7 billion euros from the CVC investment fund for selling 10% of the rights.
However, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Athletic Bilbao deemed the deal illegal, and later the Spanish Football Federation joined the lawsuit.
Reminder: Today, La Liga announced the names of 5 nominees for the best player of March award.
