Real Betis tried to terminate Moreno’s loan at Nottingham Forest for a transfer

Aston Villa defender Álex Moreno is spending the current season on loan at Nottingham Forest, but his former club has not forgotten about him and was determined to bring him back.

Details: According to Spanish outlet Que, Real Betis—where Moreno previously played before moving to Birmingham—attempted to terminate his loan at Nottingham Forest in order to complete a transfer in the winter window. However, Forest refused to agree to such a move.

Reminder: Moreno joined Aston Villa from Real Betis in January 2023 for €13.5 million. Over a year and a half, he made 42 appearances under Unai Emery before moving to Nottingham Forest on loan.
