Real Betis have confirmed that Sofyan Amrabat will be sidelined for up to six weeks after undergoing surgery on his right ankle.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, Betis revealed that the Moroccan international successfully underwent an arthroscopic ankle procedure in Amsterdam. The operation was performed by specialist Dr. Gino Kerkhoffs, with members of Real Betis’ medical team in attendance, and was aimed at resolving ongoing discomfort that had troubled the midfielder in recent weeks.
Following the surgery, Amrabat will begin the initial phase of his recovery in the Netherlands before returning to Seville, where he will continue his rehabilitation under the close supervision of Betis’ medical staff.
