Real is close to bagging their second top transfer of the summer
Real Madrid is very close to completing the transfer of Bayern Munich's left-back Alphonso Davies.
According to The Athletic, Real has reached a verbal agreement with the Canadian player on the terms of a five-year contract. Now, negotiations with Bayern remain to be finalized.
Bayern will be demanding €50 million for Davies in the summer, but Real Madrid aims to reduce this price and will initially propose €35 million. As Davies will have one year left on his contract with Bayern in the summer, Madrid hopes to negotiate a lower fee plus bonuses.
Davies is the second key target for Real Madrid this summer after Kylian Mbappé, for whose transfer Real has already reached an agreement.
The 23-year-old Canadian has been playing for Bayern Munich since January 2019. Since then, he has scored 9 goals and provided 28 assists in 180 matches.
