A true transfer saga is unfolding around Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović, who is set to leave Juventus this summer. After failed contract extension talks in Italy, the 26-year-old forward has sought to relaunch his career in Spain’s La Liga.

Details: According to CentreGoals, citing insider Matteo Moretto, Vlahović’s representatives officially approached all three of Spain’s top clubs—Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atlético. However, all three giants delivered an unequivocal and firm rejection, refusing even to open substantive negotiations.

The sole and decisive reason for this unanimous stance was the sky-high financial demands of the Serbian striker. Even though any potential buyer wouldn’t have to pay Juventus a massive transfer fee, Vlahović’s personal wage demands proved too steep for the Spanish powerhouses.

Notably, this season the Serbian played 23 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing 2 assists. Transfermarkt values the player at €35 million.

Reminder: Barcelona have made their final decision on Marcus Rashford.
