Fernando Torres took charge of Atletico U-19 in the summer of 2021. In the current season, his team is in first place in their group, leading Real U-19 by 7 points.

In the UEFA Youth League, Atletico finished in second place in their group and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by AZ Alkmaar, losing 0-1.
