Reading fans protest at Big Ben: what are they demanding?

In May 2017, Reading came under the ownership of Chinese investor Dai Yongge. Since then, fans of the London club have been left with bitter memories, which they are now fighting to put an end to.

Details: Reading supporters hired a van emblazoned with demands for an independent regulator to be introduced into the club. They want a leader who can mitigate the damage caused by Dai Yongge and ensure the club is no longer subject to transfer restrictions.

According to Henry Winter, the van circled around the British Parliament and the offices of the English Football League. The chaos within the club has already cost them their exceptional manager, Rubén Sellés. Ongoing uncertainty and financial problems could also lead to player departures in January.

Reminder: In the 2023-24 League One season, after being relegated from the Championship, Reading were docked five points. The team finished 17th that year. Currently, the "Biscuitmen" are in sixth place with 31 points.
