Rashford showed his loyalty to Man United with a Google Maps snapshot
Marcus Rashford and Google Maps - it would seem that what could there possibly be in common? But the forward found a link in the two things on his Instagram after the confidence-boosting win over Barnsley.
The player showed a panoramic shot from Google Maps that probably dates back to April 2009. There, Rashford was filmed as a child (he was 11 at the time) on Button Lane in the Wythenshawe neighbourhood near Manchester. He is in a Manchester United uniform standing on the kerb.
‘Button lane pick up point,’ - so signed the photo Rashford.
Recall that in the September window for international matches, the forward did not receive a call-up to the England national team, but spent this time with the benefit of hard work on himself. These labours paid off with a brace against Barnsley in the EFL Cup.
Erik ten Hag's side will next play in London on 21 September against Crystal Palace.
