Rapper Dr.Dre has announced his intention to compete in the 2028 Olympics. In what sport?
One of the highlights of the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics was a performance by Snoop Dogg alongside fellow legendary rapper Dr. Dre. Together, they performed the iconic hit "The Next Episode" on a beach in Los Angeles, which is set to host the next Summer Olympics in 2028.
Dr. Dre made a surprising announcement during the event. The 59-year-old musician revealed that he plans to participate in the 2028 Olympics, but this time as an athlete.
"Archery. I'm dead ass serious. Yup. I actually started playing around with archery in junior high. I stopped for a while, and my son bought me a setup.
I have it set up in my backyard and I heard qualifying for the Olympics is 77 feet. I practice at 90. Wouldn't that be interesting?".
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, the gold medal in archery was won by South Korea's Kim Woo-jin.

As for the United States, their men’s team won a bronze medal in the team competition. Breaking into the U.S. team would be a tough challenge for Dr. Dre.
