Rangnick reacted to the attributed interest from Bayern Munich

Against the backdrop of Thomas Tuchel's announced move away as Bayern head coach, the media are generating various rumours as to who will be his successor. Among them, the rumours concerned the Austrian national team coach Ralf Rangnick, who was also linked with the Recordmeister. The specialist himself is not as decisive as it seems from the front pages of the media.

In a conversation with Stefan Kumberg, Rangnick dismissed any links with Bayern, but even if there were any, he would not leave his current position:

"I had no conversations or negotiations with Bayern. Why should they have happened? I feel comfortable in the Austrian national team. My contract is until 2026, our goal and our journey will continue after the European Championship".

It is worth recalling that the Austrian national team will play with France, Poland and the Netherlands at the group stage of the UEFA Euro 2024.
