Rangers Lead Race for Nigerian Talent Akpe Victory Amid Benfica Competition

Rangers are reportedly in advanced talks to sign highly-rated Nigerian youngster Akpe Victory from Hungarian side Zalaegerszegi, as they look to beat off competition for his signature.

The Scottish club are, however, facing strong interest from Portuguese giants Benfica, who have also made an official approach for the promising defender.

According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, several clubs across Germany, Spain, and France are also monitoring the centre-back, making him one of the most sought-after young prospects in Europe at the moment.
