Raheem Sterling suffers confidence crisis at Arsenal after Chelsea misfortune
Raheem Sterling is struggling with confidence at Arsenal after a misfortune at Chelsea.
According to The Daily Mail, Sterling is suffering a confidence crisis and is overthinking the ball when he gets it. However, Mikel Arteta has not lost faith in the player, stressing that injuries have hampered his progress this season:
“I would like him to play a lot more because I believe he can have a positive impact on the team,” Arteta said in December.
Sterling was one of a number of players left out of the Chelsea squad following the arrival of Enzo Maresca, leading to his last-minute move to Arsenal.
Despite his limited role, Sterling could be an important figure for Arsenal, especially with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus out with injuries. He is expected to take to the pitch in the team's next match against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
