At the beginning of October, tennis legend Rafael Nadal announced that the Davis Cup would mark the final tournament of his career.

On Tuesday, November 19, as Spain faced the Netherlands, the moment proved to be deeply emotional for Nadal.

Details: The official Davis Cup page shared a video of Rafael Nadal unable to hold back tears during the Spanish national anthem.

The Spaniard played a match against Botic van de Zandschulp but unfortunately was unable to secure a victory, losing 0-2 (4-6, 4-6). If Spain ultimately loses the tie, this match will mark Nadal’s last appearance in professional tennis.

Reminder: Nadal recently explained his decision to retire. He stated that while he could potentially continue for another year, he acknowledges that he can no longer compete at the level of the world’s top players.

By the way, Jannik Sinner claimed victory at the ATP Finals held in Turin.
