Tennis legend Rafael Nadal, who recently retired from his sports career, is enjoying his "retirement" by attending high-profile events. The Spaniard was spotted in the stands at Anfield during the Champions League match between Liverpool and Real Madrid, as reported by Dailymail.

It’s well-known that Nadal is a huge fan of the Royal Club, so it was no surprise that he chose to support his beloved team in such an important game. Interestingly, his uncle, Miguel Ángel Nadal, was a player for Real Madrid’s fiercest rival, Barcelona.

Unfortunately for Nadal, the match did not go well for his Real Madrid, who were defeated 2-0 by Liverpool. Kylian Mbappé, notably, missed a penalty in the game.

Earlier that day, Nadal also visited the City Football Academy, where he met with Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola and star players like Erling Haaland, Manuel Akanji, and Jack Grealish.

It’s worth noting that Rafael Nadal officially ended his tennis career in Málaga after a loss to the Netherlands in the Davis Cup.
