Racing Heads to Chile Without Nardoni for Key Clash Against Colo-Colo

Racing Club has departed for Chile ahead of their Copa Libertadores Group E match against Colo-Colo, set for Tuesday night at Estadio Monumental David Arellano. As reported by TyC Sports, manager Gustavo Costas will be without midfielder Juan Ignacio Nardoni, who remains sidelined due to a recent muscle injury.
Nardoni sustained a minor muscle tear earlier this month during Racing’s 4-1 win over Banfield. While he has resumed training, the coaching staff opted to keep him out of the traveling squad to avoid any risk of aggravation. On a more positive note, Richard Sánchez, who had also been dealing with muscle issues, has been included and could make his tournament debut.
A surprise inclusion is veteran midfielder Bruno Zuculini. Despite suffering a grade-two muscle injury after scoring the winner against Central Córdoba, Zuculini has traveled with the team. Though unavailable for selection, his leadership is seen as crucial for the squad.
With two solid domestic wins under their belt, Racing aims to carry momentum into continental play. Tuesday’s match will be pivotal in their push to reach the knockout stage. The expected starting XI includes Gabriel Arias; Marco Di Cesare, Nazareno Colombo, Agustín García Basso; Gastón Martirena, Santiago Sosa, Agustín Almendra, Gabriel Rojas; Luciano Vietto; Maximiliano Salas, and Adrián Martínez.
