On Thursday, November 17, two UEFA European Championship qualification matches took place. Moldova played against Albania, while Finland hosted Northern Ireland.

Moldova - Albania - 1:1

After the break, Moldova took the initiative, and the overall match was fairly evenly contested. However, the hosts managed to salvage the match. In the 87th minute, Vladislav Baboglo scored a goal, earning Moldova one crucial point.

Albania sits at the top of Group E with 14 points, while Moldova is in the third position with 10 points.

Finland - Northern Ireland - 4:0

In the first half, fans witnessed only one goal scored by Joel Pohjanpalo. The teams went into halftime with the hosts leading 1:0. In the second half, Finland expanded their lead. On the 48th minute, Hakanpaa scored, on the 74th minute, Pukki, and on the 88th minute, Lod.

Finland defeated their opponent 4:0, accumulating 15 points and securing the fourth position in the group.
