Pyramids FC Respond to Reports Linking Ibrahim Adel with Al Ahly Transfer

Pyramids FC assistant coach Mohamed Nagy “Gedo” has dismissed recent reports claiming that Al Ahly made a move to sign winger Ibrahim Adel during the Club World Cup.
Speaking to MBC Masr’s Ya Masa’ El Anwar show, Gedo clarified:
“What’s being said about Al Ahly requesting to sign Ibrahim Adel during the Club World Cup is not accurate. We haven’t received any official offer at this stage.”
A Possible Temporary Move?
Interestingly, Gedo added that if Al Ahly had proposed a loan deal for Adel during the tournament, Pyramids might have considered it, since the team has no official matches during that time.
Al Ahly Eyeing Long-Term Deal
According to media reports, Al Ahly’s interest extends beyond the Club World Cup. The Red Devils are reportedly keen on a permanent transfer, viewing the winger as a long-term investment—especially with several European clubs also monitoring his development.
Al Ahly believe Adel has the potential to shine on a bigger stage and could later generate a major resale profit.
Al Ahly Focused on Club World Cup Opener
Meanwhile, Al Ahly are preparing for their Group A clash with Inter Miami, scheduled for 3:00 AM (Cairo time), Sunday in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup opener in the U.S.
