The management of Egyptian club Pyramids FC has decided to submit an official complaint to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) against Morocco’s AS FAR due to the host club's failure to fulfill its obligations. Pyramids accused AS FAR of breaching agreements by canceling their training venue just 30 minutes before the scheduled session without providing an alternative.

According to Pyramids’ media center, the delegation faced multiple logistical challenges upon arriving in Rabat ahead of their CAF Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash against AS FAR. The match is set to take place on Tuesday evening at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, with Pyramids holding a 4-1 advantage from the first leg in Cairo.

Training Ground Controversy

Pyramids revealed that their preparations were severely disrupted after AS FAR allegedly pressured local venues to deny them training access. Initially, the Egyptian club had arranged sessions at four different stadiums, but all unexpectedly withdrew without clear reasons. Later, AS FAR reportedly promised Pyramids the use of their own sports complex, only to revoke permission at the last minute.

With no available facilities in Rabat, Pyramids’ delegation was forced to travel over 70 minutes to Kenitra for training. However, the chosen pitch at the academy was in poor condition—riddled with holes and uneven surfaces—prompting the coaching staff to cancel the main session and conduct only light exercises to avoid player injuries.

Pyramids officials condemned AS FAR’s actions, accusing them of deliberately obstructing their preparations. The club has called on CAF to investigate the matter, emphasizing the importance of fair play and adherence to competition regulations.

The highly anticipated match will proceed as scheduled, with Pyramids aiming to secure their semi-final spot despite the off-field challenges.
