Barcelona's management has shown no mercy to the German goalkeeper.
Details: According to journalist Ricard Sanmartín on his X page, the Blaugrana board has informed Marc-André ter Stegen that he is now the team's third-choice goalkeeper, with no future prospects at the club.
The saga between Barcelona and the 33-year-old German appears to be reaching its inevitable conclusion.
Earlier reports stated that the club gave ter Stegen an ultimatum: either leave or remain buried on the bench with no chance of playing time.
Last season, the German shot-stopper made just nine appearances, a situation that clearly did not satisfy the decorated ter Stegen.
It seems the German's stubbornness has proven far stronger than Barcelona's board had anticipated.
Reminder: “This is the start of a war.” Ter Stegen does not want to leave Barcelona without a fight
